Nexen offers co-operative and internship work terms which allow students to gain practical experience and contribute to projects in their field of study during an academically-relevant work term. These projects will enable students to develop skills that make them a valuable employee while holding a paid position, which will help offset the costs of post-secondary education. Encompassing both universities and colleges, students are recruited throughout the year to meet Nexen’s short-term needs and to provide a source of future full time employees. During the employment term, students are evaluated for future regular employment. To date, this has been a successful program as Nexen has hired the majority of work term students as new graduates.
Co-op and Internship positions for May 2008 will be posted on January 14, 2008.
