Nexen Inc. has been selected as one of Alberta’s Top Employers by MediaCorp Canada Inc., the same organization that determines the Canada’s Top 100 Employers list.

Nexen was selected based on information submitted from the Hewitt Survey results along with research by Mediacorp. Companies to make the list are selected based on criteria including health and benefits, employee communications, physical workplace and social atmosphere at the office.

“We are pleased to have been included on this list for a second year in a row,” says Randy Jahrig, vice president of Human Resources and Corporate Services. “We commend our employees for their effort and dedication that contributes to making Nexen one of the best companies to work for in the province.”

The Top Employers list includes companies from different industries and regions across the province. More details about the list have been printed in the October 13, 2007 edition of The Calgary Herald and The Edmonton Journal.
