Nexen was recently named Producer of the Year in the November issue of Oilweek Magazine. Criteria for this award included showing long-term success as a growing company, being open to new frontiers and successfully taking risks. The article highlights our unique strategy that sets us apart from our peers. It covers several areas of our operations, including our CBM operations, VAPEX technologies and our operations in the North Sea and in Yemen.

Oilweek Magazine is Canada's distinctive source for information about the Canadian petroleum industry and all of its regions. Oilweek has been distributing the Producer of the Year award since 1998. Past recipients include EnCana, Paramount Resources and Compton Petroleum .
