We entered the UK and European energy marketing arena in 2006 with the creation of Nexen Energy Marketing Europe and are in the process of replicating the North American marketing strategy. Over the past few years, we have been actively developing our Energy Bridge, by adding physical marketing assets along the value chain for natural gas and crude oil, adding experienced staff and increasing our trading & marketing presence at all major energy hubs in the UK and Europe for crude oil, natural gas, power and emissions. This growing portfolio of assets, in addition to our own proprietary trading & marketing platform, and ever-increasing presence at all of the major European energy hubs makes us well-positioned to identify and capitalize on opportunities in the global energy market and to offer our customers a wide array of customized services.
